Johannesburg, Feb 4: Former Australian batsman Michael Hussey could be a consultant to South African team at the ICC World Cup 2015.
South Africa have already approached "Mr. Cricket" for his services for a part of the tournament, coach Russell Domingo said today.
Hussey, who was part of Australia's World Cup winning team in 2007, has retired from international cricket but still plays Twenty20s in Indian Premier League (IPL) and Big Bash League (BBL).
With Australia and New Zealand hosting this year's World Cup, South Africa seem to have zeroed in on Hussey to help them win the major tournament which they have failed in 6 attempts since 1992.
AB de Villiers-led side is one of the favourites to win the World Cup this time. And Hussey could help them go all the way.
