Canberra, Jan 19: Australia opener David Warner on Tuesday (January 19) heaped praise on Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane ahead of the 4th ODI between the sides here at the Manuka Oval.

Rohit struck 2 centuries in a row, in the 1st and 2nd ODIs but India lost both games. In the 3rd match, Kohli registered his 24th ODI ton (he had 2 half centuries in previous 2 matches) but again the visitors ended up on the losing side with that surrendering the series 0-3 to the hosts. Rahane had 2 half centuries in a row.

Indian bowlers have failed to defend scores of 309, 308 and 295. And they will have a tough task tomorrow as the pitch is expected to favour the batsmen again.

Warner, who was on paternity leave and missed the 2nd and 3rd ODIs in Brisbane and Melbourne respectively, has returned to the squad. He is set to play in his usual opener's slot, replacing Shaun Marsh.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Warner said India's top-order was "playing great cricket" and Rohit was in the form of his career.

"The Indian top-order is playing great cricket, they're playing fantastic. Rohit is, probably in the form of his career. He's a very good white ball player. Virat's obviously Virat Kohli. He's a very good player. He is sort of the rock in the middle (order)," Warner, who became a father for the second time, said.

"Then, obviously, you've got Jinx (Ajinkya Rahane) who comes in and he's capable of playing those big shots. Credit to him, he's worked hard in the last 12 months. I've seen him evolve through the IPL and trying to rotate the strike and clear the ropes.

"That's fantastic from an Indian point of view. But at the end of the day, so far, 300 hasn't been enough so, we have to keep being on top of our game to chase down the good totals that India are posting," he added.
