Bengaluru, Nov 8: India's Ajinkya Rahane has moved one spot up to be at the 5th position in the latest International Cricket Council's (ICC) Rankings for Test batsmen.

In the rankings updated today (November 8), Rahane is the lone Indian in the top-10. Australia's Steve Smith continues to top the table. India's Test captain Virat Kohli is joint 15th while Cheteshwar Pujara is at 13th place.

South Africa's Quinton de Kock is the major gainer in the latest rankings. He moved up 11 spots to be at 20th. He scored 84 and 64 in Perth where Proteas defeated Australia by 177 runs in the opening Test of the three-match rubber.

Steve Smith

Australian captain Smith continues to top the charts in the latest ICC Rankings. He has 886 points

Kane Williamson

New Zealand skipper Kane Williams occupies the 2nd spot. He has 841 points

Joe Root

England's Root will have a chance to improve his ranking as they face India from tomorrow in Rajkot. He has 834 points.

Younis Khan

Younis is Pakistan's highest-ranked Test batsman at number four. He has 832 points

Ajinkya Rahane

India's Rahane has achieved his career-best 825 points and is at 5th place. Hashim Amla (South Africa) is at 6th followed by compatriot AB de Villiers. Australia's David Warner is at 8th. Warner's team-mate Adam Voges (9th) and England captain Alastair Cook complete the top 10 table.
