Chennai, Apr 10: A video of Chennai Super Kings players' along with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been uploaded on YouTube in which all the teammates are seen singing, 'We are f****** Chennai'.
Although, the date and timing of the video couldn't be confirmed but all existing players in the franchise, including Brendon McCullum, Faf duPlessis, Ravindchandran Ashwin, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja and others, could be seen in the low quality video.
The song looks more of a team huddle. Looking at the video it seems the CSK teammates are singing to celebrate their victory over Delhi Daredevils, last night. [Chennai Super Kings win last-over thriller by 1 run]
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) started their IPL 8 campaign after registering one run victory against Delhi Daredevils (DD) in a thrilling last-ball finish in Match 2 of Indian Premier League 2015 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here.
Chasing a 151-run target after sending the home team into bat, the Daredevils fell short by just a run, managing to reach 149/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
CSK is the most successful side in the IPL history by registering 69 victories of the 115 matches played since its inception in 2008.
It is the only side to have won IPL (2010 and 2011) and Champions League T20 titles (2010 and 2014) twice. Kolkata Knight Riders have also won the IPL title two times, but have never won CLT20.
MS Dhoni has been the captain of CSK right from the start of the CSK franchise.
Earlier last night, Albie Morkel's unbeaten half century (73 not out off 55) went in vain for DD. With 6 runs required off the final ball from Dwayne Bravo, Morkel managed to hit a boundary, thus falling short by 1 run. DD needed 19 runs from the final 6 balls of the match.
Veteran left-arm paceman Ashish Nehra was the star for CSK, taking three wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs. He was given Man-of-the-match award.
Skipper MS Dhoni lauded pacer Ashish Nehra for his fiery spell and expressed satisfaction that his team could held on to nerves against Delhi Daredevils.
"You have to hold on to your nerves," said Dhoni.
"Nehra is good, at times he is prone to injuries, but he backs himself, which is good for a fast bowler. It is good to see him the way he bowls. He has kept himself fit. He is one Indian pacer who bowls pace effortlessly," added Dhoni.
