The West Indian's bizarre act after being warned by one of the on-field umpires sparked funny reactions. At the start of RCB's innings, Pollard targeted his West Indian team-mate Chris Gayle for some banter for which umpire cautioned him.

For the umpire's word, Pollard taped his mouth and after few overs, removed it. Following this, Pollard took to Twitter to clarify that there was "no spat" during the match and asked media to refrain from writing such stories on him.

"There was no spat, please let's not look for a story media.. If I do wrong I will accept , but don't pick at me for no reason...!!," Pollard wrote on his Twitter page.

"I'm here to Njoy cricket and try my best to win for @mipaltan ..!! And give hundred percent for the sport that has given me so much..!!," he added in another tweet.

"Thankful for the victory hope it's the start of many more," he said.

MI ended their four-match losing streak with last night's victory.
