IPL 8 Players' Auction - Yuvraj Singh sets new record

Bengaluru, Feb 16: Yuvraj Singh set a new record for being the costliest buy, when he was bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 16 crores at the IPL 2015 players auction today. (Who is Cariappa?)

There are 343 players in the fray for the auction today. Some of the big names like Yuvraj Singh, Hashim Amla, Kevin Pietersen, Dinesh Karthik and others feature in the marquee players list.

Yuvraj was joined by Zaheer Khan at DD, who fetched Rs 4 crores. The second highest after Yuvraj was Dinesh Karthik with Rs 10.5 crores, going to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

IPL 8 will be held from 8 April to 24 May.
