The right-handed batsman from Karnataka scored 2, 10, 64 and 10 in the last four innings, he has played this year.

Rahul's poor show has made India's opening look vulnerable and his failure in the previous two games gave fodder to the critics to troll him on social media.

One such critic took to Twitter to troll the 24-year-old cricketer who in turn was shut down by Rahul with an epic response.

When did this happen?

Rahul's teammate and world No.1 Test bowler, Ravichandran Ashwin, followed the youngster on Twitter. The opening batsman took to the micro-blogging site to express his happiness.

But, the cricketer was trolled by an enthusiastic fan, who in turn asked the cricketer to concentrate on the game and improve his batting.

The fan's response was shot down by the right-handed batsman who decided not to hold himself back and in turn asked the person to teach him on 'how to score runs'.

Pleased with Rahul's response, his followers lauded the cricketer for shutting the troll down.
