IPL 2017 winners Mumbai Indians send return gift to WWE Champion Jinder Mahal

Recently, the WWE vice-president of talent relations and the 14-time World Champion, Triple H sent a present to the IPl Champion, Mumbai Indians team.

Mumbai, July 23: Recently, the WWE vice-president of talent relations and the 14-time World Champion, Triple H sent a present to the IPl Champion, Mumbai Indians team.

It was a custom made WWE Championship belt which was later shown by the captain, Rohit Sharma.

Now, the Mumbai team has presented the WWE with a return gift. It was a custom made jersey for none other than Jinder Mahal who is the current WWE Champion. In case you don't know, he hails from our native land of India and became the 50th man to hold the most prestigious title in sports entertainment.



He captured the title back at the Backlash PPV. Tonight will mark his second title defense at the Battleground PPV inside the Punjabi Prison against Randy Orton. But, before that, he took his Twitter handle to send a special message for the WWE fans in India. Check out what he had to offer:

"Hello India, this is your WWE champion Jinder Mahal and I want to send a big thank you to the Mumbai Indians for sending me this custom jersey with my name on it. And I will wear it with pride. Cricket meri jaan!"

WWE also noted the happening on the official website of the company by posting the following where the praised the victory of Mumbai Indians in this year's IPL:

“Champions recognize champions. The Mumbai Indians, who defeated Rising Pune Supergiant last May to become three-time Indian Premier League champions, sent a custom jersey to reigning WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. Upon receiving the gift, The Maharaja responded with a recorded shout-out to his countrymen."

The initiative adopted by Triple H was a brilliant move to garner the mainstream attention of the Indian fans since they worship cricket. Since, Jinder has already earned quite a reputation as the second Indian WWE Champion this altercation might improve the tv ratings for the Battleground PPV, tonight. The WWE Network-exclusive event will take place in Philadelphia.
