Kolkata, May 16: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli set yet another batting record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) here today (May 16).

The Delhi-lad slammed his 24th IPL fifty and after crossing the individual total of 57 in the match the flamboyant right-handed batter created another new record.
This record was previously held by Chris Gayle and Michael Hussey who had scored 733 runs in one edition.

Gayle achieved the feat in IPL 4 for Royal Challengers Bangalore while Hussey achieved this feat in IPL 5 for Chennai Super Kings.
The right-hander also became the first Indian to score 700+ runs in one season edition. Robin Uthappa's 660 for KKR in the 2014 edition was the previous highest by an Indian.
