New Delhi, May 18: In what could be a setback to the fans in Kanpur, Kolkata Knight Riders' co-owner Shah Rukh Khan may not be able to cheer for his team in the first Indian Premier League match scheduled to be held in the city.
As per media reports, Hotel Landmark, the only 5-star hotel in Kanpur, refused to provide rooms to the Bollywood superstar for the upcoming IPL match of his team, scheduled for May 19.
SRK, reportedly, needed at least eight rooms for his team but the manager of Hotel informed former's personal assistant over the phone that all the rooms were occupied. (Preview: KKR Vs GL)
Hotel Landmark has already been booked by the BCCI.
Gautam Gambhir-led Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns with Suresh Raina-led Gujarat Lions at Kanpur's Green Park Stadium on May 19.
