Dharamsala, March 28: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli is likely to miss a couple matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 as he is still not "100 per cent" fit after sustaining a shoulder injury.
IPL 2017 schedule; Kohli out of 4th Test
Kohli hurt his shoulder during the 3rd India-Australia Test in Ranchi on March 16 and subsequently had to miss the 4th and final Test of the series in Dharamsala, which the hosts won by 8 wickets today (March 28).
After the Test on Tuesday, Kohli was asked about his fitness and he said, "It's still a few weeks to go until I can be 100 per cent on the field. These things happen, you have to take it in your stride and move forward."
RCB and defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face off in the opening game of the 10th edition of IPL in Hyderabad on April 5.
With just 1 week to go for that match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Kohli has indicated that he might miss that contest. RCB's second match is a home game, against Delhi Daredevils (DD) on April 8 (Saturday).
Kohli could miss 2 matches. RCB's 3rd game is against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in Indore on April 10 (Monday).
