# Sanju Samson was born on November 11, 1994, in Trivandrum, Kerala.

# He made his Ranji Trophy debut for Kerala in 2011 at the age of 16.

# Sanju is the youngest player to captain a Ranji Trophy side (Kerala).

# He has scored two double centuries in Ranji Trophy.

# He has been the vice-captain of the India U-19 side which toured Australia in 2013.

# He was the highest run-scorer (244) for India A side during a quadrangular ODI series in Australia.

# The youngster made international debut for India in a T20 international match against Zimbabwe in 2014.

# He was a part of the IPL winning Kolkata Knight Riders side in 2012.

# The wicketkeeper-batsman from Kerala made his debut in IPL for Rajasthan Royals in 2013 against Kings XI Punjab.

After the incredible century against Pune last night, Sanju credited his mentor and Delhi Daredevils coach Rahul Dravid for his success.

On Dravid's contribution, the player said: "I was 17 when I was with the Rajasthan Royals and since then I have been working with him (Dravid) and feel very blessed to be learning under his guidance. Not too many people get this chance and I feel I am extremely lucky to have him around and guide me."
