Kohli was recovering from right shoulder injury, which he sustained while fielding in India-Australia Test match in Ranchi last month. Due to this missed the final Test of the series in Dharamsala. India won the four-match rubber 2-1.

The 28-year-old right-hander had said he won't return to action till he is "120 per cent fit". A couple of days back he had hinted that he will play on Friday and now the official confirmation has come from BCCI's medical team. (RCB match schedule)
