Rajkot, April 18: Gujarat Lions (GL) player Brendon McCullum took a stunning catch of Chris Gayle near the long-off boundary in the 8th over of match 19 in IPL 2017. [Gayle completes 10,000 runs in T20s]
Chris Gayle was playing on 38(18) when he tried to hit a six off Ravindra Jadeja's delivery. McCullum dived to his right and took a one-handed catch.
The field umpire consulted the third umpire and in slow motion it was noticed that after taking the catch the Kiwi star's hat touched the boundary line by a whisker. Thus, Gayle was given not out and a six was awarded to him.
