IPL 2017: Match 31 Highlights: Bangalore Vs Gujarat; RCB face another humiliating defeat

Here are the highlights of the league game between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Lions (GL) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017.

Bengaluru, April 27: A clinical performance by Gujarat Lions' bowlers and later by batsmen helped them register an emphatic 7-wicket win against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their Indian Premier League (IPL) clash here on Thursday (April 27).

Chasing a modest target of 135, Gujarat achieved it in 13.5 overs for the loss of three wickets. Gujarat thus finished the game with 37 balls to spare.

Aaron Finch and skipper Suresh Raina played a crucial role with 92-run stand and ensured Gujarat win the game quite convincingly.

Earlier, RCB batting line-up laden with Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers proved to be a damp squib, as Gujarat Lions restricted them to 134 in 20 overs.

Gujarat produced a disciplined bowling effort and kept the big RCB guns silent to give themselves a low target to chase at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

RCB skipper Kohli was the first man to be dismissed and his dismissal once again opened the flood gates for the home side.

Bangalore kept losing the wickets and managed to score 134 in the 20 overs as the final wicket fell in on the last ball of the innings.

# Aaron Finch produced a whirlwind innings of 72 runs, hitting five boundaries and six sixes during his 34-ball knock.

# Finch slammed the gastest half century for Gujarat Lions, it came off just 22 balls.

# Finch smashed Samuel Badree for two back to back sixes after meddling the first ball he faced for no run.

# Aaron Finch and skipper Suresh Raina put up a crucial 92-run stand for the third wicket.

# Gujarat lost their two wickets for 23, but lost just one wicket from there on.

# Suresh Raina (308*) became leading run-scorer in the IPL and earned the Orange Cap.

# Another flop show by RCB's 'Big Three' Virat Kohli - 10, Chris Gayle - 8, AB de Villiers - 5.

# With this loss, RCB registered their sixth defeat in this season.
