Bengaluru, Feb 20: Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) spent a record Rs 14.5 crore on one player at today's (February 20) Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.

RPS bought England all-rounder Ben Stokes for Rs 14.5 crore, thus making him the costliest overseas player ever in IPL. This was also the highest amount paid by a team in this year's players auction. (Final list of players sold)
This year, RPS will have a new captain in Steve Smith. Yesterday (February 19), the franchise owners stunned everybody as Mahendra Singh Dhoni was removed from the leadership role.
