Bengaluru, Feb 20: Among all 8 teams, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have the least number of players for this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017.

KKR have chosen to restrict their squad to 23 when the maximum limit allotted is 27. At today's (February 20) auction here, they spent Rs 5 crore on New Zealand left-arm paceman Trent Boult. They bought 9 players. (Final list of players sold)
KKR will also miss the services of their star all-rounder Andre Russell (West Indies), who was recently banned for 1 year for a doping offence.
