New Delhi, April 24: Twenty20 has is often termed as a batsmen's game as the shortest format of the game is known for huge team totals, big sixes and boundaries.
But the bowlers have contributed equally well in the T20s to help their teams won. As far as Indian Premier League is concerned, bowlers have been key to any team's success in the cash-rich league.
There have been instances when team's won the match despite making a low score. Bowlers have single-handedly ensured a franchise's victory in the IPL considering the fact that sub-continent pitches have favoured bowlers.
There have been several low scoring matches in the IPL. Even tonight (Sunday April 23) the fans witnessed how Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowl out Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for IPL's lowest-ever score to score remarkable win.
What makes this win notable is the fact that the RCB top order was studded with three of the world's most destructive batsmen. But KKR not only defended their paltry score of 131 but also bundled the opposition filled with Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to just 49.
Adding more insult to the injury, no RCB batsman managed to touch the double figure mark.
