IPL 2016: How much money does each team have for Players' Auction?

Bengaluru, Jan 4: Delhi Daredevils will have the maximum amount (Rs 37.15 crore) to buy cricketers at this year's IPL 2016 Players Auction in Bengaluru on February 6.

Delhi released the league's costliest player - Yuvraj Singh and retained 14 in the squad for the new season. Yuvraj was bought last year for a record sum of Rs 16 crore.

With the deadline for players' retention ending on December 31, 2015 at 5 PM IST, all 8 franchises have announced their squads. (Who all were released by teams?)

Mumbai Indians retained the highest number of players - 19. They spent Rs 51.595 crore for them, the most by any team. For the auction, Mumbai have the least amount among the 8 franchises (Rs 14.405 crore). (351 players for auction in 2016)

Now, it is over the auction table in Bengaluru next month to finalise the squads. IPL 2016 will be played from April 9 to May 29.

Amount spent: Rs 43 cr (14 players retained)

Balance purse: Rs 23 cr


Kolkata Knight Riders

Amount spent: Rs 48.05 cr (15 players retained)

Balance purse: Rs 17.95 cr


Mumbai Indians

Amount spent: Rs 51.595 cr (19 players retained)

Balance purse: Rs 14.405 cr


Royal Challengers Bangalore

Amount spent: Rs 44.375 cr (14 players retained)

Balance purse: Rs 21.625 cr


Sunrisers Hyderabad

Amount spent: Rs 35.85 cr (15 players retained)

Balance purse: Rs 30.15 cr

Amount spent: Rs 39 cr (5 players picked from draft)
