New Delhi, April 21: The venues for the play-off matches of the Indian Premier League 2015 (IPL 8) have been announced by the newly constituted Governing Council after its first meeting.

"The first meeting of the newly constituted IPL Governing Council was held in New Delhi, today (April 20). The GC finalized the venues for Playoff matches this season," a media release from BCCI said.
It was decided that Pune and Mumbai will host Eliminator and Qualifier 2 matches of IPL 2015. Pune's Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) International Stadium will be the venue for Eliminator on 20 May while Qualifier 2 will be held at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
The final, on 24 May will be played at Kolkata's Eden Gardens. The host of the title clash was decided earlier as it is held in the city of the defending champions (Kolkata Knight Riders won in 2014). The venue for Qualifier 1 on 19 May will be decided shortly, BCCI said.
The top four teams in the league table will qualify for play-offs. All 8 sides face each other on home and away basis (14 matches each for one team) in league phase.
