Mumbai, Dec 10: India's batting masterclass Virat Kohli on Saturday (December 10) touched yet another milestone as he completed 4,000 Test runs in his career.
Batting against England in the fourth Test match at Wankhede, Kohli completed 4,000 runs in 89 innings and became sixth fastest Indian batsman to do so.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old aggressive batsman completed 1,000 Test runs in the year 2016 in just 11 games and became only third Test skipper after Sachin Tendulkar (1997) and Rahul Dravid (2006) to do so.
Presently, he is fourth in the list for the most runs made in 2016. Kohli averages 59.05 and also slammed two double hundred in the year.
Interestingly, India's cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar completed 4,000 Test runs at Wankhede on December 4, 1997 and Kohli too has touched the milestone at the iconic cricket ground.
