The Gujarat Lions' captain was at his menacing best in Bengaluru as he plundered England bolwers and smashed five massive sixes in his innings.
One such shot by Raina found an unlucky target as it hit a six-year-old boy, sitting in the stands at the venue. (Chahal's 6 wickets seal series for India)
Luckily, the boy wasn't injured badly as he returned to watch the remainder of the match after being treated at the medical centre at the stadium.
"Satish was injured after one of Raina's sixes landed on his left thigh. He was rushed to the Karnataka State Cricket Association's medical centre at the stadium for treatment," Dr Mathew Chandy told PTI.
"He complained of minor pain. We gave him the first aid and after 10 minutes, he requested to be relieved to watch the rest of the match. We had to give in his demand," the doctor said.
The doctor said it could have been fatal had the ball hit him on the head or neck "because a six-year-old is not that strong to sustain such an injury".
Raina's 45-ball 63 helped the hosts set the tone for the massive total against the visitors, who lost the match by whopping 75 runs.
