Australian wicketkeeper Matthew Wade indulged into an argument India's Ravindra Jadeja on the third day of the fourth Test match here on Monday (March 27).

Dharamsala, March 27: Continuing the hostilities between the two sides, Australian wicketkeeper Matthew Wade indulged into an argument India's Ravindra Jadeja on the third day of the fourth Test match here on Monday (March 27).

The exchange of words between the two began when Jadeja was batting on the third day.

Wade tried to provoke Jadeja by sledging him in an attempt to distract the southpaw for he was batting well and frustrating the visitors.

The heated argument and exchange of words between the two players was caught by the stumps mic.

This is what the two cricketers said to each other before the umpire intervened:

Wade: Wait till you come down here (Jadeja was at the non-striker's end) and say it.

Jadeja: (says something, which the stumps' mic fail to record)

Wade: Say it when you come down here, mate.

Ian Gould: Ahh! Excuse me. Ravindra! Come here. Now, there's no point in starting something.

Jadeja: If he starts it, I'll give it back. I don't care.

Wade: No no, now go on and get a selfie with him at the end of the game. One of the close-in Aussie fielders (possibly Glenn Maxwell) starts laughing.

Gould: Alright, let's finish please.Wade: Put it on Instagram as soon as the game finishes.

Steve Smith: You know this is his last Test for a while. They go away now.

Gould: Mate, are you going to stop that?!

Wade: Careful of that sword too, Gunner (Gould).

The exchange of words between the two cricketers continued even as the over came to an end.

Jadeja: I don't understand why the Australian selectors pick you (Wade) for Test.

Wade: Is that right? I don't understand why they pick you outside India.

Jadeja: You don't deserve to play in white clothes.

Wade: How come you don't get picked? Why is that?

Smith: You don't deserve to play anywhere but here.

Jadeja: I play in India.

Nathan Lyon bowls the last ball of the over.

Wade: Well bowled Gary. You're good in all conditions. He then goes to the other end after the end of the over.

Wade: These two will play. Like every other time they go overseas.

However, the argument didn't affect Jadeja who went on to slam his seventh Test half-century. Jadeja celebrated in his own way, the sword celebration.

He was the top-scorer for India in the first innings with 63 before India were restricted to 332, leading the opposition by 32 runs.

Later in the day, after Glenn Maxwell's dismissal in the second innings Wade again indulged into an argument with Jadeja.

The incident took place in the 33rd over of Australia's second innings after Maxwell was adjudged LBW by South African umpire Marais Erasmus.

Maxwell predictably took a DRS, which remained umpire's call even though it looked tight in TV replays.

As Maxwell started walking, an angry Wade tried to approach the melee of Indian players but Ravichandran Ashwin came in between and held back the Aussie keeper.

Wade was having an argument with Jadeja, who seemed equally involved before another player pulled him aside. Wade was fuming and as he walked back to his crease, he was seen having another round of discussion with Murali Vijay.

The two umpires then called India's stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Jadeja for a chat to cool things down.

Earlier on Sunday (Day 3), Jadeja responded to Wade's sledging by hitting the very next ball for a six.
