Ranchi, Oct 24: The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) selection committee today (October 24) retained the same Indian squad for the remaining 2 One Day Internationals against New Zealand. However, left-handed batsman Suresh Raina has been ruled out of the series.
Last night (October 23), at Mohali's IS Bindra Stadium, India defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match rubber. The 4th ODI is in Ranchi on Wednesday (October 26) while the final game is in Visakhapatnam on Saturday (October 29).
"The All-India Senior Selection Committee has decided to retain the same 14-member squad for the remaining two matches of the five-match Paytm ODI Trophy against New Zealand," the BCCI said in a media advisory on Monday (October 24). (Dhoni breaks Tendulkar's record)
"Suresh Raina is still to regain his full fitness and has been ruled out of the remainder of the series," it added. Raina was ruled out of the first 3 games due to a bout of viral fever. There is no replacement for Raina and it will be a 14-member squad.
