Kingston (Jamaica), July 30: Indian opener Murali Vijay has been ruled out of the 2nd Test against West Indies. KL Rahul is likely to replace him in the match which starts today (July 30).

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday that Vijay is injured and will not be available for selection.
"Update: M Vijay has been ruled out of the second Test against the West Indies to be played at Sabina Park due to injury," BCCI wrote on its official Twitter handle.
Vijay sustained an injury to his thumb while batting in the first innings of the first Test in North Sound, Antigua. The 32-year-old was dismissed for 7 runs as he was hit on the thumb and gave a catch off Shannon Gabriel. He did not field and was replaced by Rahul.
Virat Kohli-led India won the match by an innings and 92 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the four-game rubber.
Right-handed Vijay has played 38 Tests scoring 2,637 runs at an average of 40.56. He has hit 6 hundreds and 12 fifties.
