Coming back to India-Bangladesh encounters in T20 World Cup, the former have won both times they have met in the past. In the 2009 edition, India beat Bangladesh by 25 runs in the group stage while in 2014, the hosts lost to India by 8 wickets in the Super Ten stage.
Bangladesh have never beaten India in a T20 game
Overall, India have a 4-0 lead over Bangladesh in T20 in as many matches. Their latest two victories came in the recently played Asia Cup T20 tournament in Bangladesh, including in the final. In the 50-over format, India lead 26-5 over Bangladesh in 32 matches with one game being abandoned. In World Cup, India have a 2-1 lead over Bangladesh with the latter winning their first game at Port of Spain in March 2007.
