North Sound (Antigua), July 24: India registered their biggest ever overseas win in Tests after defeating West Indies by an innings and 92 runs on the fourth day of the first Test here at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Sunday (July 24).
Ravichandran Aswhin produced an off-spin bowling masterclass to grab a seven-wicket haul (7 for 83), his best figures ever outside the Indian subcontinent, and rattle the hosts in their second innings after India enforced a follow-on.
Ashwin registered his 17th five-wicket-haul in 33 Test matches he played. He also played a fine 113-run-knock in the first innings after being promoted to bat at number 6. This was the right-handed-batsman's 3rd Test century against the West Indies.
Earlier, Team India's skipper Virat Kohli starred after hitting his maiden double ton and became first Indian captain to slam a double on foreign soil.

Thumping win for India. Near flawless performance. Ashwin & Kohli stellar performers but entire bowling attack coming good is biggest gain..— Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) July 24, 2016
