ICC Women's World Cup: Checkout how Mithali Raj trains ahead of final

Indian skipper leaves no stone unturned in her preparations for the big match

By Unnikrishnan

London, July 22: Indian skipper Mithali Raj might be second in the run chart of the ICC Women's World Cup. The Hyderabadi has scored 392 runs thus far in the tournament from eight matches.

The current table topper is Australia's Ellyse Perry with 404 runs from eight matches. That defending champions Australia are out of the event, gives Mithali a perefect chance to be top the run-makers' list. But that did not prevent her from training hard on the eve of the title clash against England at Lord's.

Mithali was seen training at nets with the middling bat at Nursery in an apparent effort to maintain her touch.

During the tournament, Mithali had also become the first batswoman to reach the 6,000-run mark in international cricket.

Talk of champions and how they prepare!
