Bengaluru, Dec 1: Former world champions India have slipped to 7th in the latest ICC T20I Team Rankings while Sri Lanka continue to be the number one side in the world.
The rankings were updated today (December 1) after the completion of the Pakistan-England series. Eoin Morgan-led England whitewashed Pakistan 3-0 and have jumped to 4th from 8th. Yesterday (November 30) in Sharjah, they won in Super Over.
Before the start of the series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), England had 107 rating points and were at 8th. Now, they are at 4th place with 117 points.
On November 8 (before Pakistan-England T20Is), India were 6th and with England moving up, they have lost one place. Pakistan, from 2nd have fallen to 6th following the 0-3 drubbing.
India have no T20I matches scheduled this month. Recently they lost 0-2 to South Africa. They will tour Australia next month ahead of hosting the ICC World Twenty20 2016 (March and April). India will play 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is against Australia in January 2016.
