A livid Kamal said he was thinking of initiating legal proceedings against the cricket's governing body for denying him his constitutional right to present the cup. He said he would consult his lawyers and would also speak to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina about the matter.

Kamal, while speaking to journalists in a press conference at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here on Tuesday, took a dig at the ICC saying he could not work with those who work unconstitutionally. Taking a veiled attack at Srinivasan, Kamal said such people should be away from cricket for they are polluting the game. He appealed to the ICC to "revisit such things" and asked people to research the reason for his resignation.

Kamal was also upset with India's win over Bangladesh in the quarter-final match in Sydney on March 19 and even accused the umpires officiating the match of having pro-India agenda. He even alleged that the ICC had become Indian Cricket Council.[Dear Bangladeshis, be a sport & don't make such a fuss over a loss in cricket]
