"Thank You @sachin_rt Sir, It felt great to score few runs, team did rest of the job," replied the 24-year-old to Tendulkar's congratulatory message for her on Twitter.

"Incredible batting by @ImHarmanpreet! Come on India- Let's go out and win the second half of the game as well," wrote Tendulkar, the former India captain on Twitter.

Similarly, the right-handed batter thanked former India cricketer, Laxman, who hailed her for slamming career's third ODI ton.

"What a outstanding 100 @ImHarmanpreet. Amazing display of talent, power & clean hitting. Take a bow Harmanpreet," Laxman had written on his Twitter handle.

She also thanked former England women's team skipper Charlotte Edwards for hailing her knock as the best ever.

"Thanks @Lottie2323, coming this from you, It really means a lot," she wrote.

Edwards took to her Twitter handle to salute the Punjab girl's knock, "Take a bow @ImHarmanpreet , best innings I've ever seen!!"

The Indian vice-captain smashed her way to a career-best magical 171 off 115 balls, leaving the Australian bowlers in a daze. India then went on winning the game by 36 runs while defending an imposing 281 in a rain curtailed match at Derby.

She smashed her ton off 90 deliveries but finished at 171* in next 25 deliveries. Her breezy knock was studded with 20 boundaries and seven sixes as she came out all guns blazing when it mattered the most.

After being adjudged as player of the match for her whirlwind knock which blew the Southern Stars away, Kaur said she wanted to prove herself.

"I didn't get a chance to bat in the whole tournament," she told the broadcasters.

"Today when I got the chance I just wanted to utilise it, this opportunity, because today was the day where I wanted to prove myself, and thanks to God, whatever I was thinking, [worked]. Mithali and Deepti [Sharma] scored really well and Veda [Krishnamurthy] scored really well," she added further.

Team India will now face hosts England in the final at the Lord's on Sunday (July 23).
