New Delhi, July 6: On field-rivalry between veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhatar is still remembered by fans. But the duo is now going to surprise fans with their new innings on television.
The two cricketers, who were once fierce rivals, have now teamed-up for a comedy show titled 'Indian Mazaak League' for Life OK channel in which the two will be judges.
As per a Mumbai Mirror report, the former Pakistan fast bowler revealed that "now we will be on the same team and I'm looking forward to that. I hope we can do justice to the job."
This news comes just three days after Harbhajan Singh, in a TV interview, revealed that he and Yuvraj Singh were once thrashed by former Pakistan quick inside a hotel room.
When asked about the upcoming show Akhtar said, "I've had my share of fun in the dressing room. There was so much of banter and harmless leg-pulling that my jaws would ache. Among the Indian cricketers Ashish Nehra and Yuvraj Singh are a riot, as also Virender Sehwag."
Following Harbhajan's claim, Akhtar, known as Rawalpindi Express, agreed that the incident took place in a hotel room in Pakistan, but it was all fun and nothing was serious about it.
"I think he has made a big deal of it. Yes it did happen during 2004 when we were playing a Test in Rawalpindi. But it was nothing serious and all fun," Akhtar clarified. "Basically we were horsing around and doing some arm wrestling and that is all but no Bhajji and Yuvi are my younger brothers no question of beating them up," Akhtar said.
During an interview to a television show, "Aap Ki Adalat", Harbhajan revealed, "Shoaib once threatened me he would come to my room and beat me. I told him come, let's see who beats whom. I was really scared. He is a great hulk. He once bashed me and Yuvi (Yuvraj Singh) inside a room. Since he was heavy, it was difficult to catch him."
