Modi to attend Harbhajan's wedding? 'Turbanator' meets PM, invites him

New Delhi, Oct 10: 'Turbanator' Harbhajan Singh on Saturday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here and invited later for his wedding, slated to be held later this month.

A photo of an excited Harbhajan shaking hands with the head of the state was posted on the PMO handle with a caption 'Cricketer Harbhajan Singh met PM'. [I want to retire at Eden Gardens, says Harbhajan Singh]

Sporting a black T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans, Harbhajan met PM Modi at his official residence at 7 Race Course Road and gave him the wedding invitation. The off-spinner is going to marry long time girl friend and Bollywood actress Geeta Basra on Oct 29 at Jalandhar.

Several former and present players in Team India are invited in the star-studded wedding. A reception will also be held in New Delhi. According to sources, Harbhajan and Geet'a wedding would be one of the biggest celebrity weddings of 2015 so far.

The marriage will be solemnised on October 29 at Hotel Cabana on the Jalandhar-Phagwara road, the report added. "The bookings for the gala event have already been done at the hotel but the staff have been asked to maintain confidentiality."

A few days back, their royal and elegant wedding invitation card was revealed. The red and golden card, embossed with the couple's initials, impressed everyone. In the PIB image shared today, Harbhajan could be seen holding the wedding card when he met with PM Modi.

Hence, it will be interesting to see if PM makes it to the gala wedding or just sends his best wishes to the married couple, the way he did in Suresh Raina's wedding.
