Gautam Gambhir dropped from 2nd Test: This is how angry fans reacted

New Delhi, Nov 17: Veteran India opener Gautam Gambhir was dropped from the Indian squad in the second Test match against England after KL Rahul was picked in his place.

Gambhir's ouster was pretty clear after India skipper Virat Kohli on the eve of second Test (Nov 16) termed Rahul as team's first choice as an opener with Murali Vijay.

The 34-year-old cricketer's Test career seems to be all but over after Rahul's comeback. The southpaw-batsman failed to impress in the first Test match against England at Rajkot. He made 20 in the first and was dismissed for duck in the second innings.

Rahul failed to make any difference to the Indian side as he was dismissed without scoring in the second over of the match by James Anderson. Rahul, who was playing in the Ranji Trophy, made a hurried return to the national team but failed to spend time in the middle, getting out for a duck.

Gambhir's ouster from the playing XI didn't go well with his fans who immediately expressed their angst over social media.
