Bengaluru, Feb 17: With ICC World Twenty20 2016 set to start next month in India, Asian teams will have a chance to finalise their preparations as they play in the Asia Cup T20 tournament in Bangladesh.

The qualifying round of Asia Cup will be played from Friday (February 19) while the actual tournament begins on February 24. All matches will be hosted by Bangladesh (qualifiers in Fatullah and main round in Mirpur).

For the first time in the history of Asia Cup, the format has been changed to 20 overs from 50. Past 12 editions were 50-over contests. All squads have been announced.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led India, are favourites to claim the title after coming off from two successive series victories, against Australia (3-0) and Sri Lanka (2-1).

Note: Qualifying tournament involving Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman and UAE will be played from February 19 to 22. The winner goes to the main draw (February 24 to March 6)

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain and wicketkeeper), Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Ashish Nehra, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, Harbhajan Singh, Mohammed Shami (ruled out due to injury), Pawan Negi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (replacement for Shami), Parthiv Patel (wicketkeeper) (added as a cover to Dhoni).

Pakistan: Shahid Afridi (captain), Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Sarfraz Ahmed (wicketkeeper), Immad Wasim, Anwer Ali, Babar Azam (withdrawn due to injury), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Aamir, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Irfan, Rumman Raees (withdrawn due to injury), Wahab Riaz, Khurram Manzoor, Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Sami (both came in as replacements for Babar and Rumman).
