India captain MS Dhoni turned 34 today. And the fans took to social media to wish "Captain Cool" on his birthday. As the clock turned 12 last night, Dhoni's supporters, who were waiting for this day, started trending "Happy Birthday Dhoni" on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
Dhoni, who was born in Ranchi on 7 July, 1981, has been rested from India's tour to Zimbabwe this month. He will spend his birthday with his family.
Usually, Dhoni is busy on national duty during his birthdays. But this year he is enjoying a rare break from cricket after a hectic season which ended for him last month in Bangladesh where the team lost 1-2 in ODIs.
For Dhoni, this year comes as the toughest phase in his career. There was pressure on him to quit captaincy after the defeat in Bangladesh. His supporters and team-mates have rallied around him in times of crisis.
How long will he carry on playing is not known. As of now, he will have a quiet celebration with his family and friends. This year is a special one for him as he has become a father. He will spend time with his little daughter Ziva.
OneIndia and ThatsCricket join millions of fans around the globe in wishing a Happy Birthday to Dhoni.

Happy Birthday Dhoni! I won't ask how many candles you will put on the cake. Rather how many stumps you will put on them! :P
