New Delhi, Aug 10: Riding on valiant centuries from all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin (118) and stumper Wriddhiman Saha (104), India managed to reach a respectable total against West Indies in the first innings of the 3rd Test.
The right-handed duo forged together a 213-run stand for the sixth wicket before debutant pacer Alzarri Joseph managed to separate them with the wicket of Saha caught behind by keeper Shane Dowrich.
Former cricketers and experts took to Twitter to laud the gritty partnership between Ashwin and Saha for the sixth wicket which helped India recover from the early jolts, they received on the opening day, and reach a respectable total against the hosts.
Former India opener Virender Sehwag lauded Ashwin and Saha for their valiant innings and tickled the funny bone with his witty one liner. While others were in awe of the partnership the duo put on.
