Bengaluru, Aug 7: Nearly 3 months after his last competitive match, all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is back in the 'nets' and announced that he would be "coming soon".
The 33-year-old Yuvraj, who was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Delhi Daredevils' colours, took to Twitter to convey the message to his fans that he was working hard in the 'nets'.
"Feels good to be back in the nets ! Coming soon," Yuvraj wrote today (August 7) on his Twitter page, accompanied by a video (on Instagram) of him playing in the 'nets'.
Left-handed Yuvraj was the costliest buy in this year's IPL auction at Rs 16 crore. But he could not make a big impact in the league as his team Daredevils failed to make the play-offs. His last game in this season's IPL was on May 17 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Bengaluru.
Since then, there has been no match practice for Yuvraj as he is not part of India A or the senior squad which is currently in Sri Lanka.
Still having hopes of making a comeback to the national team, Yuvraj seems to have begun preparations for the new season. He might be seen wielding his willow for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy, which begins in the first week of October.
Yuvraj has not played for India since April 2014. He has featured in 40 Tests, 293 ODIs and 40 T20Is.
