Kolkata, March 31: The Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament, scheduled to start from April 8, underwent changes in the playing schedule on Tuesday keeping in in mind the Kolkata municipal elections on April 18.
A Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) release said that the changes in match order were made after Kolkata Police made a request to alter the dates citing their inability to provide security during the elections.
