Bengaluru, Dec 1: Former India captain and batting legend Rahul Dravid took guard today (December 1) to face some tough questions from his fans. As he was during his playing days, "The Wall" remained calm and composed replying to his supporters and also R Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane and Virender Sehwag.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced that Dravid will take questions from fans from 3 PM IST on Tuesday. And with the hashtag "#AskDravid", the questions began on Twitter.
Ashwin, Rahane and Sehwag also took this opportunity to ask questions to Dravid, who is currently the India 'A' and Under-19 coach.
In his interaction with the fans, Dravid revealed that he had lost his cool many times in private but not in public. "Not often in public but a lot in private," was the right-hander's reply when asked about losing patience.
Sehwag, who recently retired from international cricket, asked Dravid how top players could contribute to the betterment of Indian cricket. "How top Indian players can contribute for the betterment of cricket in India?," he queried.
Dravid replied, "I think you have done a great job by playing the Ranji season. No better way to contribute."
Later this evening, Dravid will deliver the MAK Pataudi Memorial Lecture in New Delhi. This is the 4th edition of the annual lecture. The previous speakers were Sunil Gavaskar, Anil Kumble and VVS Laxman.
