Bengaluru, July 23: The Players' Auction for the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2015 Twenty20 tournament will be held on July 25 (Saturday) with Robin Uthappa expected to attract the highest bid again, like last year.

As many as 239 players will go under the hammer at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium premises. India all-rounder Stuart Binny is also in the auction and he too is expected to trigger a bidding war between the franchises.

239 - Total number of players to be auctioned
12 - Number of players retained (2 each per team)
8 - Total number of teams in this year's KPL (new addition Namma Shivamogga. All Stars Celebrity XI - Rockstars will not be a part of auction)
Rs 5.3 lakh - The highest amount paid during last year's auction. Robin Uthappa was picked by Bellary Tuskers for the same amount
Players are divided into Pool A and B
35 players in Pool A
204 cricketers in Pool B
Rs 20 lakh - Total pursue for each team (The retained players' fees will remain the same as previous season and amount will be deducted from Pool A or B purse depending on which pool the player belongs)
New team Namma Shivamogga will have full purse of Rs 20 lakh
Rs 12 lakh - The maximum purse for Pool A players
Rs 50,000 - The base price of a player in Pool A
Rs 8 lakh - The maximum purse for Pool B players
Rs 10,000 - Base price of each player in Pool B
Players not bought in Pool A will be added to Pool B and their base price will be halved at Rs 25,000
Players will sign a one-year contract with the franchise and each squad will have a minimum of 15 players and a maximum of 20 players, including 2 players from its catchment area
