Corruption: US judge says he doesn't know how to pronounce FIFA

New York, June 4: The Federation Internationale de Football Association is popularly known as FIFA (FEE'-fuh) around the globe but US District Judge Raymond J Dearie perhaps doesn't belong to that lot. [Ex-FIFA official admits accepting bribes for 1998, 2010 World Cup bids]

Dearie, during the November plea of hearing of former FIFA executive committee member Chuck Blazer, was reportedly stumped by the acronym FIFA, said he didn't know how to pronounce the name.

Evan M Norris, assistant US attorney came to his rescue, saying: "FIFA, your honor."
