For the past few weeks it was speculated that new City boss Pep Guardiola had raided his former club FC Barcelona to rope in the 33-year-old Chilean goalkeeper as he was not happy with Joe Hart's performance.
Initially both the parties had denied the rumour but as the custodian has arrived at England, all the speculations have been put to rest.
Manchester City are off to flying start in the Premier League this season as they have won both their matches. They are currently at the top of the table.
Guardiola had dropped Hart in the first three matches of the season, 2 Premier League and 1 UEFA Champions League qualifying match as he preferred Willy Caballero.
It clearly indicated that the English international's time at the Etihad stadium is up. After Saturday's game against Stoke City Guardiola had said: "I cannot deny what everyone knows.
"I am sorry guys. When the deal is complete or not complete, after I will be open to answer about one player. At the moment, he is not our player."
According to Sky Sports experts, the deal will cost City £17m and FC Barcelona have already identified his alternative. They are eyeing Ajax's Jasper Cillessen.
Claudio Bravo's signing with Manchester City is now just a matter of time. He is expected to complete his medical today and sign before this weekend.
