Chelsea FC are interested in signing Southampton and Italy striker Graziano Pelle this summer. According to media reports, The Blues are ready to shell out £12 million to lure the Italian's services.
Antonio Conte, who was in charge of the Italian national team until the Euro 2016, will join Chelsea as their new manager for the upcoming season.
As it seems, Conte who managed Pelle at the national team will play a major factor in attracting the star to Chelsea.
English Premier League side Southampton are looking forward to sell one of their priced possessions who has performed really well in the recent years for the club.
Pelle, who will turn 31 this month, has entered his last year of contract and it is highly unlikely that he would extend his contract. The Saints though are asking for nothing less than £16 million for their star.
Graziano Pelle scored 2 crucial goals in 4 matches he played at the Euro 2016. He netted the important winner against Belgium in the opening match of the group stage.
In the last season, the seasoned forward scored 11 goals in 30 appearances for Southampton and assisted 6 times.
Antonio Conte who prefers a 3-5-2 formation will apply the same at Chelsea, thus they need more strikers. Chelsea have already released on loan players Radamel Falcao and Alessandro and recently signed Michy Batshuayi from Olympique Marseille.
They are also chasing Alavaro Morata from Real Madrid. Morata was brought back to Santiago Bernabeau a month back applying the buy back clause but as per reports Real are ready to sell him to earn profit.
