JMM always work for minorities in Jharkhand: Hemant Soren

Jamshedpur, Apr 14: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has said JMM always discharged its responsibility to protect the interest of the minority community and he as a chief minister made sincere efforts for their welfare within a short tenure in power.

"JMM has always cared for the dignity of the community and taken initiatives to protect their interests," Soren told a meeting of the minority community workers of JMM at Azad bustee here yesterday.

"Though it was not a long period that I have assumed the office of the chief minister, but I have made sincere effort to prove that my government has the will to take along all section of the society through its policies during the short stint in power," Soren said.

Referring to the Lok Sabha elections, the chief minister said "we have to decide whether we should vote for a party which was committed to involve people from all section of the society to achieve all round development or vote for those parties who talked of themselves."

President of the party’s state minority wing Akil Akhtar, MLA, also spoke on the occasion.
