Woman Naxal held in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Sep 18: A woman Naxal, carrying a Rs 5 lakh bounty on her head, was today arrested by police from Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district.
Lakke (28), a resident of Permapara Burgum village, was nabbed from Kirandul police station area based on inputs provided by local intelligence network, Dantewada SP Kamlochan Kashyap said. She was associated with the outlawed CPI (Maoist) for the past 14 years and has served as area committee member and 'Jantana Sarkar' head, he said.
"Lakke was an active member of the Malangir area committee of Naxals in Dantewada. She is accused of executing people after holding 'jan adalats', murder, attempt to murder, loot, arson and other crimes," the SP said.
Besides, she had also allegedly provided ground support to senior Naxal leaders like members of Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC), Kahsyap said.
