Wagah Border retreat ceremony cancelled by BSF after Surgical strikes

Retreat ceremony between India and Pakistan on Wagah border has been cancelled for today. Villages along Punjab's border with Pakistan were put on high alert and many have been evacuated. schools along with the border have been ordered to remain close. Today morning, Director General of Military Operations, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, announced that the Indian Army had conducted surgical strikes across the LoC last night.
