Kejriwal's anti-dengue mosquitoes to fight dengue mosquitoes

The Delhi government is considering fighting mosquitoes with mosquitoes. The AAP led Delhi government is sending a team of experts to a small island in southern China where genetically modified mosquitoes are being used to reduce the population of dengue-causing Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. Delhi had experimented with GM mosquitoes to control malaria in the 1980s but the project boomeranged, said a senior scientist working with National Vector-Borne Disease Control Programme.
