DMK to appeal in SC against Jayalalitha's acquittal

After exerting pressure on the Congress government in Karnataka for more than a week to file an appeal in Supreme Court against the high court order acquitting J Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate assets case, a meeting of DMK district secretaries held in Chennai on Monday resolved to file an appeal themselves. The Supreme Court had twice stated that DMK has the right to be a party in Jayalalithaa’s disproportionate assets case.
