Patna, Oct 22: Rabri Devi, former chief minister of Bihar and wife of jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad on Tuesday said in an interview to ABP News that the latter will take charge of the party once he is released and also lead it to victory.

Rabri Devi also took a dig at the BJP and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, saying the latter and its candidate will fail to win any seat in Bihar. "The BJP is known for spreading riots," she said, adding that all secular parties need to unite and fight the elections.

Rabri Devi asked the secular parties to come together to defeat BJP

The former chief minister, who took over in a dramatic turn of events in 1997 when Prasad was arrested in connection to the fodder scam, said her husband's disqualification as a Lok Sabha member was not going to affect the RJD and that she and two of their sons were trying to keep the party strong.

Prasad was convicted in the fodder scam last month and lost her Lok Sabha membership following the Supreme Court's order on disqualifying convicted politicians.
